SparkleSkirts Introduces Professional Golfers

We are excited to share two professional golfers Alexandria Jacobsen and Natalie Goodson will now be representing the SparkleSkirts brand as they work their way to the LPGA.

Meet Alexandria

Alexandria has been surrounded by golf her entire life. "My dad is in the golf business, so I started playing when I was 7 years old, then started traveling and competing in tournaments shortly after." Alexandria draws inspiration from her dad. "He introduced me to golf and I would not be the person or player I am today without him. He taught me to believe in myself and never give up!"

Though Alexandria's focus is on making it to the LPGA and having a long lasting career traveling the world competing, she has already experienced success along the way thanks to her determination. In high school, she won the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Individual Championship her freshman and sophomore years. In college, she won nine individual titles and received three Academic All-American awards. At the professional level, Alexandria has earned status on multiple tours including the Symetra Tour and Ladies European Tour. And she has no intention of slowing down.

"Golf is a game you can play your entire life! I love to travel and compete all over the world. I have been to some amazing places and have met amazing people along the way," said Alexandria.

"I will continue to strive for the LPGA. That's what you dream of as a little girl and that is what I work so hard toward now. Short term, I want to inspire the younger generation to take up the game and love it just as much as I do!" said Alexandria.

This week Alexandria completed the Texas Women's Open. Next, she is headed to the Florida Women's Open on August 11th, the NWGA Palm Springs Dinah Shore on August 15th, and then onto the LPGA Qualifying School (Q-School) Stage 1 on August 23rd. Q-School consists of three stages divided into 13 rounds played between August and December. Stage 1 is four rounds and takes place in Palm Springs, Stage 2 is four rounds in Venice, Florida, and the Final Stage is five rounds in Daytona Beach, Florida. Everyone is competing to earn a status on the 2018 LPGA Tour.

As she travels the country competing, Alexandria will be wearing her new skirt, the Alexandria along with other bright SparkleSkirts. "I love the vibrant colors and patterns that SparkleSkirts offer! You can find something for EVERY occasion. They are extremely comfortable and the shorts underneath don't ride up! Not to mention they have pockets!"

She recommends them to other golfers because "other than being super comfortable, they have multiple fits in every pattern--no matter what your body type you can find a fit for you! And you can move freely without the shorts riding up all day!"

Meet Natalie

Following in her father's footsteps--Natalie's Dad is the Director of Golf at Lake Forest Country Club. This Ohio state native started golfing at five years old in her Dad's junior program. "He has taught me everything I know and I wouldn't be where I am today without him!"

She entered her first tournament at age 12 and hasn't stopped golfing since.

"I shot a 112, won the tournament and was hooked," said Natalie. "I love golf because you can play it at any age, plus you meet so many different people. I have met lots of girls from different countries because of golf. I also like that I can go out and play a competitive round with my dad, which you can't do in a lot of other sports."

Though she has competed in hundreds of tournaments, Natalie says her most proud moment in golf was when the golf coach at Kent State, the best in their conference and highly ranked in the country, recruited her to play. "I wanted to go to school somewhere in Ohio, but I didn't know where. I had received some offers at some other schools, but I didn't commit." When the Kent coach called, Natalie knew that was it.
Now 2 years after completing her college golf career, Natalie continues to practice and compete nearly every week. She is headed to the LPGA Monday Qualifier in Ohio on July 17th and then heads to the Tennessee Women's Open on July 27th. From there she goes to Qualifying School (Q-School) August 21st through the 27th.

During her practice rounds and tournaments, Natalie will Sparkle. "Golf skirts now a day are all very similar; they are either not very comfortable, not cute, or they don't have pockets. This is why SparkleSkirts are perfect for golf--they are fashionable and comfortable, and they have multiple pockets!"

Natalie said when you look good, you feel good, so you play well!
