SparkleSkirts Anonymous

Kimberly sparkled all the way to a personal recordHi, my name is Kimberly and I am a SparkleSkirt addict. I'm assuming if you're reading this, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Whether you just bought your first "workhorse" black SwingStyle or you've got a collection of customs, you and I are SparkleSisters.

In 2012, I laced up my first pair of running shoes and set out for a mile run that would change my life. I was enamored with the glitzy side of the women's running community: the medals, cute athletic wear and how much fun it looked. I quickly learned that running required a lot of hard and sweaty training runs before you ever see that shiny medal.

With my fellow SparkleSisters, Amy and JenniferIn the midst of my training, I was pushing for a new 10k PR. One of those "Proof of Time" PR's that I could proudly submit. The day before my race, I found the glorious SparkleSkirts booth at the race expo. The bright colors and sparkly patterns instantly caught my attention and I walked away as a SparkleSister, with "Diva Blue" in hand.

The next day, I ran my heart out and had a huge PR. I was trained for that 10k, but slipping on that skirt made me feel faster too...AND THE SHORTS DIDN'T RIDE UP! My curvy legs and I knew we found something special.

I wouldn't dare confess the number of SparkleSkirts I own or customs I'm waiting on, but I love the SparkleSkirt community. I can instantly strike up a conversation with other runners, that I don't even know, about our skirts (and love of pockets).

I'm proud to say that I'm a SparkleSister and completely addicted. Unwrapping a new skirt from that tissue is the only motivation I need to lace up and run. What motivates you to lace up?

Hi Melanie! Yes, kids who wear 8-10 in youth sizes can typically fit our XS SparkleTech skirts. We also have smaller sizes, but they’re mostly the “light” skirts (without shorts and pockets): http://sparkleskirts.com/collections/twinkleskirts.

Love all these comments ladies! Mind if I add them to our Customer Testimonial page too? If you’ll send us a photo of you in your SparkleSkirt, we’ll include it too!

Just wondered if you have children’s sizes so I could order some for my Granddaughters.

I did two races (both 5K) before I gave a Sparkle Skirt a try. There would not have been more races after the third one hadit not been for discovering the benefit of the compression shorts that did not have to be constantly tugged or pulled out of delicate places. So, I guess I owe it to Sparkle Skirts that I have done lots more races including my first Half Marathon. And to think it all started with just a single skirt!

Thanks, my SparkleSister! It’s so nice to know I’m not alone in my addiction. I lost count of my SparkleSkirts a long time ago. I love every one of them! Whether unwrapping a new SS or pulling out one of my originals (or even pulling on a pair of my SparkleBottoms) – knowing I will be comfy (never any riding up) and look super cute makes lacing up so much easier.

SparkleSkirts make me motivated as I love being a girly girl even when I run.
